SIS investigators bust rogue NSS and Defense Ministry agents

SIS report says:

A 2003 murder suspect obtained an illegal Georgian passport and fled to France.

In 2010, while in France, he used his fake passport to ask President Serj to get Armenian citizenship. The NSS began reviewing his petition.

In 2011, Serj gave him a passport. The suspect used it to move to Armenia, where he applied to join Defense Ministry to oversee conscript education. He received grants.

In 2012, the Ministry fired him for "incompatibility with the position". However, the suspect continued to get paid.

In 2015-16, the Ministry gave him a personal vehicle and routine "pocket change" worth 9mln.

The SIS investigation reveals that he didn't exist "on paper".

In 2015 the police decided to prohibit him from leaving Armenia. They caught him in Vanadzor but he was let go, instead of being handed over.

Then the suspect was caught in Zvartnots airport while trying to flee. He was released again by the cops, who went on to remove his travel restrictions.

The suspect took a flight and fled.

NSS agents knew the suspect was wanted for murder but deliberately chose not to pursue him. 🔥🔥🔥

The SIS has launched a felony investigation against NSS, Defense Ministry, and the Police officials. No names yet.

SIS investigation concludes the judge forged documents

A plaintiff contacted prosecutors in 2018 and complained that judge Davit Grigoryan forged documents about a trial to claim that the judge attended the trial on time, and met all the deadlines, and that the trial was delayed because of the plaintiff.

An investigation was launched against the judge in 2018. Sometime later in 2019, this judge was picked to hear Robert Kocharyan's case and he ended up releasing Kocharyan from jail. Meanwhile, his forgery investigation continued. His office was raided.

Today the SIS concluded the investigation, confirming the alleged forgery, also naming the judicial secretary as a co-defendant. SIS says the two forged the documents multiple times, claiming it was the plaintiff who didn't show up. SIS says the co-defendants weren't in the courtroom on the date when they claimed they were.

The judge is charged with Felony 314.1 "official forgery" punishable between 200,000 AMD fine to 4 years in prison. His case is sent to court.

New abuse of power charges against fugitive prince / 2bln in damages

Serj's son-in-law Mikael Minasyan was earlier charged with money-crimes. SIS is pressing more charges. The report says:

Minasyan served as a senior aide to PM then deputy chief of staff of President, between 2007-2012. During this time, he abused his powers and caused 2bln in damages to HIN ERIVAN HOLDING company.

The investigation began after HIN ERIVAN's representative wrote a complaint on May/3/2020. The complaint stated that in 2007 his company was given the right to renovate ODEON cafe near Opera building. Minasyan then illegally obstructed the business activities, causing 2bln in damages.

Minasyan is charged with Felony 309.3 abuse of power, punishable between 200,000 AMD to 4 years. End of report.
