The State Oversight Committee has decided to audit the Maralik municipality, after months of protests by the residents demanding the HHK mayor’s resignation for alleged corruption and mismanagement. The mayor and the secretary have been summoned to present the financial documents on Monday. The residents have agreed to temporarily lift the building blockade to allow the government audit.
