Two teen brothers robbed a barber shop in Arabkir district last night. They hid the loot under some bridge and went towards Victory Park.

Victory Park patrol cops noticed a suspicious activity by the teens at 4:30am. After noticing that the two cops were onto them, the teens fled the area. The cops chased them and tried to detain.

They detained one of then. The other one ran and hid in the dark, then ambushed the cops with an attempt to free his brother.

A fight took place. The 16 year old stole the cop's gun and killed one cop and wounded the other before fleeing the scene.

Police caught the suspects later. The weapon is missing (update: they found it). Suspects have a criminal record and had gone through theft trials in past.

The cops will receive a medal for bravery. The surviving cop has vowed to continue his service in the police force.

The police chief has asked the businesses in Armenia to consider installing security cameras because it helps to catch criminals. Apparently a camera helped them in this case.

Armenia International Airport plans to invest $20mln in Gyumri airport. Flights between Yerevan and Gyumri will become more frequent. They'll prepare the Gyumri airport for Ryanair low-coster's entry.

Enter Ryanair...

Recently the Civil Aviation begun negotiating with European low-cost airliner Ryanair. The firm wanted some tax breaks to enter the Armenian market.

Today Ryanair chief came to Armenia and met Civil Aviation chief Tatevik Revazyan and spoke about the upcoming plans. Beginning 2020, the firm will connect Yerevan to Rome, Milan and Berlin. Gyumri airport will also be connected to Munich.

Ryanair says the low costs will help 130,000 travelers to save $20mln.

Ryanair is the largest airlines in Europe, says the rep. They have 150 million passengers annually. Next year they predict 200 million.

https://armtimes.com/hy/article/171725

Civil Aviation chief: we want to encourage people to travel to Europe, including those who've never done it before. The cheap flights will also help to create jobs in Armenia.

Ryanair rep: the cheapest ticket is $5 (probably means within Europe). The most expensive ones are usually twice cheaper than an equivalent from a competitor. We don't operate in the old method of fixing a price for 5 years in advance. Today our customers decide the ticket costs (probably means supply and demand). The average one-way cost will be $35.

Civil Aviation chief Revazyan: we are currently negotiating with Hungarian WizzAir to enter Armenia

Interview by Petros Ghazaryan with Civil Aviation chief Revazyan. Topic is Ryanair.

Few pieces: In some regions 80% of tourism is done by low-cost airlines. Jets will fly during a daytime, too. These 4 routes between Armenia-Europe are just the beginning.

Thank you Ireland. Very cool.

Pashinyan:

Ryanair's entry is going to increase tourism. The government has agreed to waiver the air tax for flight routes that weren't being serviced at the time of Ryanair's entry, for Yerevan and Gyumri airports. This was one of the key demands by Ryanair. The government has also agreed to give other similar tax breaks to Ryanair.

Any foreign airline firm can take advantage of this incentive, Ryanair is the first one, concluded Pashinyan.

https://armtimes.com/hy/article/171745

Pashinyan: we're going to plant 10 million trees by 10/10/2020 as a sign of unity for 10 million Armenians around the world. It'll also ձեռի հետ benefit the nature.
