While in New York, Defense Minister Tonoyan announced that there will be no Artsakh land concessions in exchange for peace. "The opposite", said Tonoyan, "new war = new lands". He said although land for peace negotiations are over, "we're willing to go for a compromise".
Earlier he met the Kansas National Guard chief and Kansas governor, who declared March 27th as Kansas-Armenian army cooperation day. Later Tonoyan met Mike Pompeo's assistant to discuss cooperation in various peacekeeping initiatives.

Armenia has been spending more on paying its debt, than on healthcare, since 2017. On 2008, the government predicted that healthcare expenditures on 2015 would be double the amount of what we actually spend today.
This is the reason why Pashinhyan is hesitant to increase the foreign debt to co-subsidy some of the 13 large infrastructure projects that will be mostly subsidized by Europe. The GDP-to-Debt ratio is in a "good standing", however.
Pashinyan met Austrian PM Sebastian Kurtz. The latter expressed support for the EU-Armenia comprehensive cooperation agreement, and welcomed the positive developments since the 2018 revolution.

Shout out to Edward Sharawmahanov who is a lurker.
Shawarmazanov said: Ադրբեջանը, որ ստեղծվել է Coca Cola-ից 32 տարի անց, շարունակում է կեղծել պատմությունը.
He blamed the Azerbaijan's government for falsifying the history by lying about the details of 1918 clashes between Armenians and Tatars in modern day Azerbaijan, by portraying them as a "genocide of Azeris" (MeToo movement gone too far? 🤔).
He added that there was no Azerbaijan at the time, and it was formed several months after the battles, which is 32 years after the formation of Coca Cola. 👏👏👏👏👏

Former Norway ambassador to Azerbaijan has sharply criticized the Azeri Culture Ministry for a campaign to remove the Armenian culture and heritage from modern day Azerbaijan. An 18th century Armenian church was recently converted into a Caucasian-Albania style temple.
The Ministry falsified the church's history, which was built on 1830 by the local Armenian community which accounted for half of the population, and claimed it was a 6th century Caucasian Albanian building.
Norwegian politician finds it "laughable and sad at the same time".

Regional elections in 30 major cities, 51 state capitals of Turkey.
The ruling AKP won 45% of the vote, with 90% counting. CHP won 30%.
Opposition CHP also won the majority in capital Ankara, unseating AKP for the first time in 25 years, amid worsening economic situation in Turkey. The ruling AKP is narrowly leading in Constantinople by only a 0.06% margin.
The reason for the narrow competition was partially due to Kurdish HDP deciding to not participate in certain regions of the country, to allow the potential HDP voters to vote in favor of the other opposition party (CHP) to challenge the ruling AKP. It appears the plan has worked out.
Kurds have once again won in the Kurdistan region, over-writing Ergodan's puppets whom he installed in mayoral positions after replacing democratically elected Kurdish mayors.
Two election monitors and 2 others were murdered, with dozens being injured during the elections.

Ukraine presidential elections will enter a second round after the first round ends with no candidate reaching 50%. A comedian received 30% of the votes, while the acting president received 19%. As top-2 candidates, only they will compete in the 2nd round.

The turmoil in Russia's southern Ingushetia Republic continues. 40,000 protested against a deal to hand over parts of Ingushetia to neighboring Chechnya. Some residents shut down a major Russian freeway connecting Rostov to Baku, and demanded Ingush president's resignation.
A unit of republic's police forces refused to disperse the crowds, defected, and joined the protesters. Russian National Guard had to confront them. The disobedient officers were fired.
