Armenia is celebrating the 101th anniversary of First Republic's independence. Northern Avenue and public squares were turned into sports rings and playgrounds. Politicians went to lay flowers in Sardarapat and elsewhere.

Venice Committee earlier sent a letter to Pashinyan offering their support for judicial vetting and reforms. Certain media outlets spread misinformation alleging that it sharply criticized Pashinyan for his calls to block court entrances. Here is the text of that letter. Pashinyan's spokesman Vladimir Karapetyan has criticized Artsakh's former Human Rights Ombudsman Melikyan and placed his ethics in question, after the latter spread the misinformation.
In another instance earlier, former ombudsman Melikyan criticized Pashinyan by accusing his supporters of breaking a court house's window during the court blockade. In reality, the window was broken from inside the building.

First Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan is a huge fan of Robert Kocharyan and is subscribed to his Facebook fan page. Well, not really.
A popular Facebook group titled "I want to own this item" had thousands of subscribers, including Avinyan. Recently, it was mysteriously converted to a pro-Kocharyan page. The subscribers are now automatically a member of this new group. Avinyan hasn't yet commended whether he plans to remain in the group.

Parliament building continues to increase its security. Three new metal detectors will be installed. The existing ones are old models and are almost dysfunctional. This comes shortly after Parliament's security staff begun meticulously searching all the cars entering the premises.

The Constitutional Court has a vacant seat. It's been a year the Parliament isn't picking one. 3/5th of MPs must vote in favor for the candidate to be elected. Candidates were appointed either by the president or a judicial board.
Three candidates have been rejected so far. President Sarkissian has nominated the fourth one. This will be the first time QP will be voting for a nominee while having a Parliamentary majority.

Pashinyan and crew are in Kazakhstan. They participated in EAEU trade meeting during which they discussed possibility of lowering border taxes for some items. Former Kazakh president Nazarbayev welcomed Pashinyan, said both countries have great relations, the trade is set to increase despite some things that need fixing, valued the Armenian diaspora in Kazakhstan, spoke about his times as a leader, reassured that the new Kazakh leader will continue to improve the relations.
Pashinyan also said nice things about him, noted that it was Nazarbayev who played a crucial role in formation of EAEU and CSTO.

Anti-Aliyev protest took place in Baku. People who were displaced during the Karabakh war were accusing the authorities of negligent work and not caring about them. They wanted housing. The protesters shut down a street for ~10 minutes before being pushed away by the police.

Azeri police followed and briefly stopped people wearing Henrikh Mkhitaryan's shirt for the upcoming Arsenal vs Chelsea game in Baku. Unclear what the reason was.
