March madness continues! Armen Grigoryan, who is the former secretary of national security council and chief of staff of president Robert Kocharyan, is officially charged with obstruction of justice for putting pressure on a Supreme Court judge. On 2008, the opposition challenged the election results. The case was moved to the supreme court. During this time, a supreme court judge was allegedly pressured by Grigoryan, so the judge contacted the US embassy and asked for help because Grigoryan demanded that he vote in favor of declaring the election results valid. This was confirmed by diplomatic cables leaked by WikiLeaks. Armen Grigoryan is charged with obstruction of justice. Embattled former Syunik governor Surik "Liska" Khachatryan's son is under a criminal investigation for falsifying documents to avoid military service. The judge approved the prosecutor's demands for the man to appear for a mental and medical re-examination.
