It has long been known among the public in Armenia that the large scale phone business "belonged" to the Kocharyan family for years.

A popular political analyst mentioned this during an interview to a media outlet last year. Kocharyan's elder son Sedrak then sued the analyst for an alleged defamation. The analyst told a story about how people in the store located next to a cell phone store were complaining that someone from a law enforcement agency came and told the phone store that beginning tomorrow, they can't cell phones anymore, because Kocharyan is doing that business. The next day the store owner was allegedly taken to a basement and beaten. He then shut down the store days later and went back to Russia.

Sedrak wants the analyst to prove he heard this story from others, while analyst says he isn't required to prove.

The bottom line is, now you know the old story about the phone business in Armenia thanks to the lawsuit. 👏🥤

The govt approved changes to the law that will make it easier for farmers living near the Turkish border to visit lands on the border. Right now there is one border official in each region who gives authorization individually to each visitor. This makes the process slow. UEFA boss is in Armenia to watch the Armenia-Italy Europe-2020 group match.

The match begins. SPOILER ALERT. Armenia scores a goal in the 11th minute and is leading. The player who scored the goal gets a red card. Armenia plays with 10 players. Italy ties the score in the second half, they have a 73% possession of the ball.

If Armenia wins, they move to the 2nd spot in the group and will need Finland to lose their match to keep the 2nd spot.

1:2 Italy scores again. 13 minutes left.

1:3 with 9 minutes left.

Full time.

Armenia is done with the first round of matches. The second round of "away" matches will be finished by the end of this year. The top 2 teams in the group proceed, while Finland and Bosina proceed regardless of score, due to "benefits". Armenia has 6 points, is on 3rd place, and still has a chance to proceed.
