Story of Near East Relief (1915-1930) An Interpretation by James L. Barton 1930
Regarding your message/comment to me.
"Would you mind actually improving the duduk article, which you are free to edit, rather than spend your time complaining about it? Thank you. --Raffi 03:07, 2 July 2007 (PDT)"
I was not complaining about the article, but about duduk.com's use of this information source about the duduk as profit-making venture. I spend my time in the manner I choose, and do not appreciate your derogatory tone. -madoherty.
- Hi - sorry, I simply misunderstood your complaint. --Raffi 22:23, 22 July 2007 (PDT)
Hall of Shame again
Are you sure Stalin shouldn't be included? We should at least consider his assigning Karabakh to Azerbaijan. -- Aivazovsky 08:43, 23 July 2007 (PDT)
- I also added a new section called "individuals circumventing the word 'genocide'." -- Aivazovsky 09:44, 23 July 2007 (PDT)
For what it's worth, I agree. Stalin should be there, if for nothing else, for his assigning of BOTH Artsakh and Nachijevan to Azerbaijan AND for the draining of Sevan for his own interests. Not to mention countless other reasons... (just my 2 cents) Hovik 19:21, 23 July 2007 (PDT)
- Definitely should be in there. I haven't spent quality time on the list yet, but there are many to be added. I like the idea of the new section, but it would be nice to come up with a briefer title. --Raffi 00:25, 24 July 2007 (PDT)I'll think about it.
News
Did you hear about this? -- Aivazovsky 05:26, 25 July 2007 (PDT)
- Now they're saying something else: [1] I just hope they don't close RFE/RL in Armenia. -- Aivazovsky 08:12, 25 July 2007 (PDT)
- Yup, we've been following this closely here, there was a last minute protest as well... it's worrisome. --Raffi 20:42, 25 July 2007 (PDT)
Genocide evaders
I think "genocide evaders" works better as a name than "individuals circumventing the word 'genocide'" (too long) and "genocide weasels" (too strong especially when used against US Presidents). The idea is that they would be "evading" the word "genocide". Though I suppose that even this could be potentially problematic because "genocide evaders" could imply "evading genocide" as if to allude to individuals like Ratko Mladić or Radovan Karadžić who are hiding in order to escape war crimes trials in The Hague. What do you think? -- Aivazovsky 07:56, 26 July 2007 (PDT)
- Well I certainly wouldn't flinch from calling a president a weasel, if he doesn't flinch from diminishing the genocide. I just don't know if "Genocide weasels" would mean much to a reader. G-word weasels, perhaps? "A category of people who do not deny the genocide, or any of the facts, but insist on avoiding saying the g-word (genocide) in order not to offend the Turkish state." How is that? --Raffi 21:54, 26 July 2007 (PDT)
- I made some changes - though I'm thinking for now we should incorporate everyone into one list, and just put "G-word weasels" after the names of people on that list. One day, when the list grows longer, we can seperate out into a couple of categories. --Raffi 21:56, 26 July 2007 (PDT)
Re:Turkish spelling
I figure that if Wikipedia uses Turkish spellings, we should use them as well. I won't change any further spellings, though. BTW, didn't Ter-Petrosian pander to Azerbaijan's interests as well as (if not more than) Turkey's by working on a solution to Karabakh "within the framework of Azerbaijan's territorial integrity"? I'm a diasporan, so forgive me if I don't have all the facts straight. -- Aivazovsky 04:48, 27 July 2007 (PDT)
- True - we could simply write "Turkish" interests - primarily in the sphere of genocide recognition/reparations and land. --Raffi 21:04, 28 July 2007 (PDT)
Picture of Avet Terterian
Hallo Raffi,
I just saw that the picture of Avet Terterian is missing in his article
can you fix this?
Keep on the good work!
Connie in Hamburg / Germany
- Sorry Connie - someone had uploaded it and it was destroyed last year. I wasn't able to recover it. Hopefully someone who has access to the photo will reupload it! Thanks, Raffi

Is it alright if I mention the current Georgian-Azeri dispute over the David Gareja/Davit Gareji monastery on the Georgia article? [2] [3] [4] -- Aivazovsky 05:12, 6 August 2007 (PDT)

Hi Raffi do you think this is okay? [5] --Hye 08:03, 1 September 2007 (PDT)
- The idea is cool, but I am not crazy about this calligraphy font. I'd prefer another, personally. --Raffi 19:42, 1 September 2007 (PDT)
- Also Raffi I made Armenian terrorism so we can have some neutrality on google search engines since there all Turkish nationalism sites. --Hye 01:04, 3 September 2007 (PDT)
- Good, I want to get my hands on "My Brothers Road" so I can fill in a lot more history about the Armenian terrorist movement in the 70s/80s. Unfortunately I don't have good info on non-ASALA groups. --Raffi 01:07, 3 September 2007 (PDT)
- Hmm I will see what I can do, I have JSTOR access if you need anything. --Hye 01:08, 3 September 2007 (PDT)
- Found this in his book, searched on Amazon, "He had done so in Bourdj Hamoud between 1978 and 1980, at Kfar Tbnit in 1981, and during the Israeli invasion of Lebanon in the summer of 1982. He had opposed Hagopian's "blind terrorism," too, and for a while he had done so in the full expectation that he would die in the process." --Hye 01:11, 3 September 2007 (PDT)
- I read the book in July - it had SO MUCH valuable info on ASALA and the Karabakh War, I need to go through the whole thing again in front of my computer. I have to borrow a copy of it first though, unless this JSTOR has it digitally. --Raffi 01:15, 3 September 2007 (PDT)

Is it possible to use your article on our site?
Hi, Mr. Kojian! I represent the following web site: www.bayazet.ru. it is dedicated to Armenia, it`s culture, history and cuisine. We would like to use the following article http://www.armeniapedia.org/index.php?title=%D4%B2%D5%A1%D5%B5%D5%A1%D5%A6%D5%A5%D5%BF about Beyazid, on our site. Is it possible? Would you allow us to (with all the reference to your site of course)? Thanks in advance. Nadia (web-master for www.bayazet.ru)
- Sure Nadia, as long as you give credit somewhere! Thanks and good luck, Raffi
Another question about Beyazid page
Mr. Kojian! My boss, Mr Papyan is asking, if you have the article about Beyazid in English, so we cold translate it into Russian first. Because our site www.bayazed.ru is in Russian. Of course, we would still make all the needed references to your site! Thank you! Nadia (web-master for www.bayazed.ru)
- No Nadia, it has not been translated yet. You are welcome to translate and use it (with references) if you like! --Raffi 12:09, 18 September 2007 (PDT)
James Nazer
These images are from his book see: User:Hye/Genocide, there are more that aren't on your site I can upload them later if you want also. --Hye 18:35, 18 September 2007 (PDT)
- Theres several more, like pics of people digging bones or bones themselves etc, I will soon since I think every picture on the Armenian Genocide should be documented. --Hye 20:24, 18 September 2007 (PDT)
Barev
Raffi sometimes I protect articles that I feel do not need additions or are articles that don't need any editing. I do this because I am concerned maybe in a few years I move on and don't edit this site, I don't want others ruining the articles, there valuable and it is history in the making. Or again, they are articles that don't need editing but obviously admins can edit them or users can use the talkpage so no big deal. So I'm not sure if you approve or disapprove just thought I'd let you know, hajox. --Hye 19:08, 23 September 2007 (PDT)

I've noticed alot of French language pages on the Armenian Genocide have good stuff we should upload these, I haven't seen alot of them, [6] --Hye 17:22, 24 September 2007 (PDT)
- Well they have references we can just cite it and its copyright is expired. --Hye 11:16, 25 September 2007 (PDT)
- Also I've noticed they have similar images but with different views apparently these were massacres in 1904 by Cossacks, [7] according to [8] and see image [9] --Hye 06:40, 29 September 2007 (PDT)
- I have removed the photo from the page of genocide photos and added a new note to the photo page. --Raffi 09:14, 29 September 2007 (PDT)

Info on your site
Hi,
Im from a creative arts and film school in South Africa and we are producing a film of the Armenian genocide. Its from a christian perspective encouraging the confession of the genocide as well as forgiveness and reconciliation between muslim turks and christian armenians.
I would like to ask your permission to use your various materials for research to write our script. If we are interested in using any material eg photos for the shooting of the film we will first ask your permission. Right now we are just writing the script and all info is to be used to create an accurate account of what happened.
If you have any other info or places where we could obtain info we would gladly appreciate your help. SetApart Please could you reply to my email as I do not check this site to often.
A question
Dear Mr. Kojian,
I was wondering if you had any knowledge of a craigslist-type website for Armenians. At the moment, I find myself in want of a part-time job. Preferably I would like to work for an Armenian jeweler in the City of Glendale, California. However, I have no way of contacting with such businesses. And apparently, such businesses have no way of advertising their position openings.
Perhaps you know of an Armenian portal that people can create personal ads in? If not, maybe you will consider creating such a portal as an addition to the Armeniapedia website?
Yours Truly,
Raffi Aidiniantz
Re:
Thats good, but one more thing we can't upload images. --Hye 15:19, 26 October 2007 (PDT)
#armenia
Dear Raffi, thank you very much for taking your time to read this. I am one of the original owners of channel #armenia, I don't chat anymore but a lots of my old friends do and new ones, I have been getting a lots of complaints about chat #armenia after the new owner of it came on board, I have been getting complaints about no one beeing there to help people out for questions, people get kicked from the channel automatically by the bots, there is no one there operating the channel to help them out by letting them back in, what can I say its a big mess in there, so we decided to open a new one and would really appreceated if you would help us bring the fun that our fellow Armenians used to have back by adding channel #hayastan instead of #armenia, in your website, It would be greatly appreceated by all the people that come to the chat. I myself will make sure that I have operators that know their job, and are there for our people when needed. Please right me back at Grigoryan1983@gmail.com, again thank you very much.
broken link on the front page
Hi Raffi, On the front page you have Events link which does not seem to be working. - Սահակ 08:23, 6 November 2007 (PST)
- Thanks, I fixed it. --Raffi 11:17, 6 November 2007 (PST)
- By the way Kim Kardashian posed for Play boy recently nude, so I think that is why he added porn star. --Hye 15:48, 6 November 2007 (PST)
- And she was also in a home made sex tape that got out - but unless she acts in a porn movie, I would not call her a porn actress. --Raffi 23:42, 6 November 2007 (PST)
- She acted in a porno movie called "Kim Kardashian Superstar (2007)" which is distributed by Vivid Entertainment and can be purchased from amazon.com or any other porn store. Here is the imdb entry. The whole story about a leaked out home video was a good publicity move. -- Սահակ 00:44, 7 November 2007 (PST)
- Hi Sahag, I don't see any indication on IMDB, or on Wikipedia that the tape was made for release to begin with. If she appears in a normal porno, I have no problem adding that to her page, but for now it seems unsubstantiated unless there's another reliable source. For now our only famous porn star is Christy Canyon. --Raffi 04:47, 7 November 2007 (PST)

Sources
Barev Raffi jan, this Marshal Baghramyan here. How's Armenia? I was over at Cilicia.com where I found you writing about the Hasan Jalalyan family including its financial connections to Cilician Armenia as well as its constructions of fortress in Khachen. I found much of it quite interesting and was wondering what sources you might have on it so I can expand the article on the House of Hasan Jalalyan page on the English Wikipedia. Any images you might have of the Hasan Jalalyan family, like the ones you mention here at Gandzasar will also be very helpful. If you can, please respond back on my talk page on Wikipedia. Thanks much.--The Marshal 18:36, 3 December 2007 (PST)
Oh, don't worry about it. Would you happen to have any of pictures of Gandzasar of Hasan Jalal anyways?
