Tanya Paretchan

Tanya Paretchan was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. A graduate of art from the Philadelphia College of Art, Ms Paretchan is the owner and president of the store, 'Three Trees Fine Art and Custom Framing' in her home town. Ms Paretchan was an art teacher at the local Armenian Sisters Academy and additionally taught pre-school and nursery at Holy Trinity Armenian Church Sunday School in Cheltenham, Pa.

Ms Paretchan came on her first pilgrimage to Armenia in 1997, which introduced her to the orphanage situation in Armenia through Julie Ashekian and CASP. Upon her return, she initiated the project 'Artistic Children of CASP' whereby artwork and handiwork by the children of Kavar orphanage was sold in the USA. This project created an exciting working atmosphere for the children whose work was appreciated abroad - as well as an income. Ms Paretchan is married with two grown sons is the sister of Dr Garo Garibian MD. Ms Paretchan speaks English and Armenian.
