Foreign Aid to Armenia

Armenia is the recipient of foreign aid primarily from the USA and Europe.
US Assistance
Most of the US assistance is through the Freedom Support Act and gets distributed by the United States Agency for International Development. In December 2005 it was announced that Armenia would recieve over $200 million over the next few years from the Millennium Challenge Account for good performance on a number of indicators. Other US agencies which have provided aid to Armenia include the Department of Defense, the US Treasury, the US Department of Agriculture and the Peace Corps.
Another large US Donor is the Lincy Foundation, which as given in excess of $100 million already.
European Assistance
The EU aid money is mostly channeled through TACIS.
