Earthquakes recorded in Armenia

September, 3, 2008 - According to the Armenian National Centre for Semismic Protection, a seven-magnitude earthquake was recorded near the Nakhichevan-Iran border at approximately 1:00 A.M. A far less severe earthquake was felt in the Armenian cities of Goris, Sisian, Kapan, Yeghegnadzor and Jermuk. The earthquake felt in Goris, Kapan, and Eghegnadzor measured 4.0 on the Richer scale while Yeghegnadzor and Jermuk recorded 3.0 on the Richer scale.
