Pedro Petrossian

Pedro Petrossian (Pedrossian in Brazil) was an important politician in the central area in Brazil, Mato Grosso State. He was elected governor before the military revolution in 1964. He didi a revolutionary administration in that State instaling two first Universities and estimulating agrobusiness and factories. The Mato Grosso state was divided in 1978 (Mato Grosso do Sul and Mato Grosso States)and Pedro Pedrossian did the option to live in the south part. A couple of years after it he was elected governor in the new State. He was born in the same city where Aracy Balabanian was born.
