SEMERJIAN, Rev. Mesrob Vahan The Very Rev. Mesrob Vahan Semerjian, 85, of Hartford, died Saturday, (December 16, 2000) at Mediplex Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility in Wethersfield, after a short illness. He was a priest for 60 years with the Eastern Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Orthodox Church of America. He was born in Aleppo, Syria, on December 17, 1915. His father, Hagop Semerjian, and his brother Vahe, perished during the darkest days of the Armenian Genocide. His mother, Prapeon Semerjian, brought him to the United States when he was four years old. She married Mergereos Aharonian, and they settled in Lowell, MA. He graduated from Lowell High School in 1933.
