Manvel Badeyan
File:Manvel BADEYAN.jpg Manvel Badeyan was born on June 29, 1957 in Kamo (Gavar).
Mr. Badeyan received his degree in economics and mathematics in 1979 from the Yerevan Institute of National Economy.
In 1979 he started his career as a scientific associate in the Scientific Research Institute of Economics and Planning under the Armenia SSR State Plan. From 19801981 he served in the Soviet Army. In 1981 worked as an economist in the Yerevan Lighting Plant. From 1982-1984 he did his post-graduate studies at the Yerevan Institute of National Economy. He spent the next twelve years as a senior professor at the Yerevan Institute of Animal Husbandry and Treatment. From 1992-1995 he worked first as a head of division and later deputy director in the Institute of Management and Economic Reforms under the RA Government. In 1995 he founded the company Eurostan Ouyut.
1999-2003 was his first term in the NA (from the proportional list of the Unity alliance) where he served as a deputy head on the NA Standing Committee on Financial-Credit, Budgetary and Economic Affairs. He was a member of the Unity Faction.
On May 25, 2003 he was reelected to the NA from the proportional list of the Republican Party of Armenia and is currently serving on the NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations. He is a member of the Republican Party of Armenia. He has no political party affiliation.
Mr. Badeyan is married and has four children.
