Worked in the non-profit sector bringing humanitarian and medical aid to the population of Armenia and Karabagh. Served as Armenia Coordinator for a number of international non-profit organizations including Hope for the City which has delivered over $50 million dollars in medical relief to Armenia. Her work with Smile Network International, a non-profit from the United States brought over 100 life changing cleft surgeries to the people of Armenia.
Madlene became passionate about Armenia when she first visited as a volunteer in a work camp (Land and Culture Organization). The group was taken to a devastated village where they helped rebuild the church crushed by the earthquake. Since then it has become her passion to provide relief for the country's citizens as well as design projects for a healthier population.
