Born and raised in Lebanon, Krikor Beledian is a leading French-Armenian novelist, poet and critic whose work has been published in Lebanon, Armenia, France, and by Abril Books in LA. Beledian lives in Paris and teaches at the Institut catholique in Lyons as well as at the Paris Institut national de langues et civilisations orientales. His extensive work revolves around questions of Armenian identity in the Diaspora. An essay of his on Yeghishe Charents has been translated into English by G.M. Goshgarian and published in Charents: Poet of the Revolution, Costa Mesa, California: Mazda Press, 2003.
