DJ "King Raffi" Nalvarian started his musical journey back in 1985. He is one of the most recognized and respected names in Bay Area entertainment. Raffi's an ABSOLUTE natural as a DJ and Emcee. With over 3000 weddings, corporate, and club dates under his musical belt - he's seen it all!

King Raffi has a long history in radio as well. He started in 1985 at KSJS (San Jose State) then climbed the ranks of the radio world to KOME, LIVE 105, and in 2000 he took over the afternoon drive at MIX 106.5. Raffi was recognized as the #1 Afternoon Drive DJ, San Jose in Arbitron on several occasions. In his radio career, Raffi’s also interviewed some of musics best including: David Bowie, The Cure, No Doubt, Tori Amos, Jewel, Erasure, Radiohead, Matchbox 20, Dido, Green Day, Five For Fighting, Sheryl Crow, Blondie, Blink 182, Train, Smashmouth, Cyndi Lauper and Richard Marx.

Raffi has shared the stage along-side comedians Sinbad, Dennis Miller, as well as opening for The B-52's, Ohio Players, and The Tubes at the Fillmore.

Raffi has a nightclub history going back nearly 20 years. Perhaps the most notable feat is the biggest dance night in the history of San Jose, bringing the first return of "DISCO INFERNO" to the Bay Area's Cactus Club in 1990. Raffi's club history includes San Jose's F/X, AJAX Lounge, Oasis, The Usual, The Agenda, Club Colossus, Club Martini, San Francisco and One Step Beyond in Santa Clara.

When you sit down with Raffi, you will find his deep knowledge of music, event planning, a great sense of humor and some funny stories (at least he likes to think so).
