Karen Davtian

Karen Davtian is a politician. He was born in 1963.

Davtian graduated from the Yerevan State Polytechnic Institute's Architectural Faculty and between 1995 and 2001 he was the head of "Metromat" CJSC.

From 2001 till 2004 he held number of important positions related to Yerevan municipality such as head of License Department of RA Urban Construction Ministry and head of Real Estate Management Department of Yerevan Mayor's Office.

From 2004 Davtian was the head of "Bureau of Construction and Investment Program Implementation."

As for January 2006 Davtian did not belong to any political party, was married and had two children.

In January 2006 by the decree of Andranik Margarian, then Prime Minister of Armenia, Davtian was appointed vice mayor of Yerevan in the line of urban construction.
