A bomb fell near Armenian Gulbenkyan hospital in Aleppo

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 20, ARMENPRESS: Heated clashes have been resumed between Government loyal forces and rebels in several Aleppo districts on October 19 mornings. As Jirayr Reisyan,Berio National Primacy press secretary informed Armenpress, the militants made attempts to penetrate into Armenian New Village. The military situation remained tense and unstable during the day, the voices of shooting could be heard the interlocutor stated.

According to the spokesman a number of buildings have collapsed. To Armenpress reporter question whether buildings belonging to Armenians have been damaged, press secretary was quoted as saying everybody has suffered losses regardless nationality. Simultaneously Reisyan stated there is still no information available about human losses.

By security reasons Armenian nursing home residents were moved to Gulbenkian hospital building previous week. One of the bombs just fell near the hospital in the course of October 19 clashes, fortunately nobody was injured.

Over 30 thousand people were killed in the course of 18 months lasting clashes in Syria, including four dozen Armenians.
