Gayane Mkrtchyan, 31, lives in Ejmiatsin Town, she has been working in media since 1994 starting as a reporter at Ejimatsin's local TV station. Beginning 1996 Gayane has been a correspondent for local newspapers such as: "Aravot Daily", "Hayastani Hanrapetutyun" and "Hay Gortsarar". In year 2000 she met John Hughes and later Tony Halpin and thanks to their direct efforts gradually learned the basis of western-style reporting. Since 2002 she has been working at ArmeniaNow as a reporter. At the same time Gayane is completing her studies at Yerevan's Finance and Banking University, in the faculty of Law. She is married and has a son. Currently she is working at the Consultant at the Chamber of Advocates of the Republic of Armenia.
