Devan Long
As of early 2007, Devan was preparing to play in Germany for an "NFL Europe" team, the Cologne Centurions. Parents are Lori Bailey Cunningham (half Armenian on father's side) and David Cunningham. In 2007, his older brother Rien Long will enter his 5th season with the Tennessee Titans of the NFL. It is the first-time that two Armenian-American brothers are drawing a paycheck from the NFL.
Devan is an alumus of Anacortes High School (100 miles north of Seattle), where he was first-team All-Northwest League. He graduated in 2006 from the University of Oregon, with a degree in Political Science. His professional football career is just starting:
- He signed with the Carolina Panthers, of the NFL, on May 5, 2006
- He was placed on the Injured Reserve List on August 29, 2006 by Carolina for a groin injury... ultimately leaving the team.
- Devan was chosen by the Cologne Centurions of "NFL Europe" in the seventh round of the 2007 Free Agent Draft
