Damascus

Damascus (Arabic officially دمشق Dimashq, colloquially ash-Sham الشام) is the capital city of Syria. It has had a small Armenian community for a long time, which grew significantly after the genocide, and shrunk significantly since the tensions in the region started in the 1970s.
