After a long battle with pancreatic cancer, Armen Garo Gunjian passed away on Saturday, September 1st, 2012 at the CVPH Hospital in Plattsburgh, NY. Armen Garo was an active sportsman in his youth, competing in shot-put, high-jump, tennis, and skiing. He was also an avid reader, stamp and coin collector, and world traveller visiting over a hundred countries around the globe throughout his lifetime touching every single continent including Antarctica. Armen Garo married Chake Benohanian in 1980 and was blessed with two children, Nora and Zaven. Whether enjoying a fine cigar or spending an afternoon at the yacht club, he would assure you that "this, is the good life!". He touched the lives of everyone he met and treated everyone with dignity and respect. His family would like to thank Dr. Steven Ades and his Oncology Team at the Fletcher Allen Hospital in Burlington as well as Dr. Stephen Hausrath and the nurses at CVPH Hospital in Plattsburgh for taking excellent care of him.
