Ara Gyuler

Ara Gyuler, a world-known photographer receivd prize of the President of the Repbulic of Turkey. The prize is awarded to five people which can be one of the following; Turks, foreigners or institutions that made contribution in the cultural life of the country. Ahmed Necdet Sezer, the President of Turkey decided the prize-winners. Besides the Armenian photographer being awarded the president's prize this year, so was a historian Halil Inaljek, painter Ferruh Bafhagha, publicist Oktay Akabal and "Sevda-Jenab Alb" organization The prizes will be handed to their owners by the President during a special celebration to take place at the Chankaya Palace November 11.
