Ara Ayer

ARA AYER is a documentary photographer and currently a freelance journalist who has been working in Southwest Asia and the Middle East since 2001. An Armenian American, Ara has covered the war on terror in Pakistan and Afghanistan and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict from Jerusalem. A graduate of Davidson Collge, Ayer complete his masters degree from University of Missouri in broadcast journalism in 1996.

Based in New York, Ara's work has appeared in New York Times, Le Figaro, LA Times, Paris Match, Der Spiegel, Stern, Süddeutsche Zeitung, and Corriere della Serra.
