Alishan Halebian
Alishan Halebian is a famous jeweler. He was born in Armenia and together with his wife and business partner, Lydia Tutunjian, moved to the United States in 1970.
While studying art and design at a local college, he worked in the Los Angeles jewelry district, where his passion for jewelry design and manufacturing was ignited.
With his background in the arts, he approached his jewelry as miniature sculptures that are wearable.
Classical art elements merged with Halebian's contemporary designs brought exquisite style to his jewelry works. His designs are inspired by a wide variety of artistic expressions, from African art to contemporary sculptures.
"My jewelry is an eclectic mix of textures, techniques and cultural references that come together to create a collection of special interests," Halebian said.
Halebian has received many international and domestic jewelry design competition awards and has earned a membership in the highly respected American Jewelry Design Council.
His creations have been exhibited in museums and galleries throughout the nation.
Halebian collection can be found in fine retail jewelry stores in America. People are attracted to his designs for their individual characteristics and craftsmanship.
