Last month, I was asked by my friend, Jim Donna, to attend a meeting of the American Council for the Blind. Jim is the senior warden at the Church of the Good Shepherd Watertown, a position I once held for several years. Jim is not visually impaired, but his wife Anne is, and Good Shepherd has had a long history of handicapped members in leadership positions. Al Gazaygian, a member of the council as well as the Armenian Church of Watertown, also spoke about his church's efforts to become wheelchair accessible. ...
