Text Box: The Ararat-Eskijian Museum and the Armenian Cultural Visionaries
will host a presentation by Dr. Abraham Terian, The Armenian Heritage in
Jerusalem. Beginning with the earliest documentary, epigraphic, and
archaeological evidence for the Armenian presence in the Holy Land, Dr.
Terian's lecture will survey the history of the Armenian community in
Jerusalem. He will review Jerusalem's liturgical, monastic, and theological
contributions to the fledgling church in Armenia, as part of the rich
heritage of this community that thrived through the centuries as the
earliest of the Armenian diasporas. The lecture will conclude with a
description of the present situation and a reflection on what the future
holds for the community and the historic Patriarchate.

the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia. He now lives in
Fresno, California, with his wife Sara.
