Born in 1946 is Koti Village, Tavush Marz. Was Minister of Interior, and later mayor of Yerevan.

In 1998, President Petrosian resigned from office (apparently after pressure from hard-line military leaders), and Vano Siradeghyan took his place as the leader of the Armenian National Movement. (Political Handbook, 1998)

Aravot Newspaper, was established by Vano Siradeghyan, a member of the ANM (Armenian National Movement) board.

One of the most serious allegations facing the party recently is that party leader, Vano Siradeghyan, was allegedly involved in the planning and carrying out of a number of ordered political murders of Members of Parliament and other top government officials. Siradeghyan has been charged with 10 offenses including arson, murder, attempted murder and conspiracy. (BBC, 1999)

Vano Siradeghyan, leader of Armenian National Movement Party (HHSh) and candidate on both majoritarian and proportional ballots was released from arrest on May 7, 1999. He was arrested on May 3, 1999 in the Yerevan airport just after his arrival from Sofia. The Office of the Prosecutor General of Armenia explained that Siradeghyan was released based on a February decision of the Armenian National Assembly that removed his deputy immunity and on the maximum 96 hour detention allowed by law. In addition, HHSh leaders posted bail and gave assurances that all required procedures prescribed by law would be followed. Siradeghyan promised reporters that he would meet with them on Tuesday.

March 26, 2002. The Armenian former minister of the interior, Vano Siradeghyan, who is wanted by the Armenian law inforcement bodies, advanced his candidature for additional parliamentary elections to be held on the 75th electoral district May 19, 2002, the Central Electoral Commission told ARMINFO today. To recap, the extraordinary elections will be held in connection with the fact that the deputy of the aforementioned district, Vano Siradeghyan, was deprived of his deputy mandate by the Armenian Parliament because for "missing over the half of parliamentary sessions without valid excuse." Vano Siradeghyan confirmed his intention of running for the Parliament through sending a fax of his statement to the headquarters of the Armenian Pan-National Movement party. A day before, the party's leadership unanimously made a resolution of nominating its leader for the Parliament.
