TURKS RENEW ATTACKS AGAINST CHRISTIANS

Bands of Irregular Opening in Zone Just Ceded to Bulgaria

OCTOBER 4, 1915

London, Monday, Oct. 4.--A new series of Turkish outrages against Christians is reported to have taken place in the zone which Turkey has just ceded to Bulgaria, and which Turkish officials and troops are now evacuating. A dispatch to Reuter's Telegram Company from Athens says:

"Bands of Turkish Irregulars have been organized expressly to pillage Christian shops and habitations. All the women have been maltreated. Four Christian villages outside the ceded zone have been forcibly evacuated to make room for Turks who did not wish to remain under Bulgarian rule."
