Status

Very rare species. Two small populations known in Armenia, one consists of 75 plants, the second one has 35. The second one is under the danger of disappearing.

Habitat in Armenia

Grows in the floristic region of Yerevan only.

Habitat and ecology

Grows in dry rocky and loamy hill slopes.

Biology and potential value

very beautiful plant with big yellow flowers. High decorative plant. Has huge scientific value.

Measures of protection

Control over the bigger population should be established. The smaller one should be tried to take to another safer place. Should be included in the Botanical Park of Yerevan and Khosrov Nature Reserve.
