Rare species for Armenia. The natural habitat and the population size have significantly decreased.

Met only in Aparan region.

Grows in dry rocky hills.

Biology and potential value

Natural reproduction is not satisfactory. Valuable medicinal plant. Has huge scientific interest.

Measures of protection

Control over the populations should be made. Should be also included in the Botanical Park of Yerevan.
