Pilav, bulghour (Wheat pilaf)

Bulghour Pilaf

(Serves 4)

Ingredients:

2 tablespoons butter

¼ cup thin egg noodles or orzo

1 cup #3 bulghour (boiled wheat)

1 teaspoon salt (you can skip this if you are using salted butter)

2 cups beef broth

Directions:

Melt the butter in a saucepan. Add salt and noodles. Brown noodles and add bulghour. Stir until mixture is blended.

Heat the broth in a separate saucepan over medium heat, when it starts to boil, add to the bulghour.

Cover saucepan and reduce heat to lowest setting until all the broth has been absorbed, about 25 minutes.
