Rare species. Has tendency to decrease.

Habitat in Armenia

Met in sandy territories of Shidlu, Khor Virap, Vedi, Ararat, and Pokr Vedi regions of Ararat Marz, as well as along the River Arax and around Sadarak village in Nakhichevan.

Number in the wild

20 – 90 species per hectare of living territory found near Horovan village in 1958 – 1969. Nowadays the number has decreased, and is 2 – 5 species per hectare.

Reasons for decrease in number

Degradation of the territories. Use of the sand for construction purposes.
