Gabriel Sargissian

Gabriel Sargissian (03 February, 1983) is an Armenian International Grandmaster of chess (2002).

In 1996 he won the World Youth Championship (under-14) and in 1998 the European Championship (under-16). Sargissian was Armenian champion for two times (2002 and 2003).

He was one of the contributing players (board 5) on the Armenian chess team which won gold at the 2006 Chess Olympiad (Turin) ahead of second placed China and third placed United States.

On the July 2009 FIDE list, he has an Elo rating of 2667, making him number 64 in the world and Armenia's number three.
