Habitat in Armenia

Can be met in rocky habitats of mountain steppe and dry woodland zone around Yerevan, Aragatzotn, Kotayk, Vayots Dzor in Vayk, Yeghegnadzor, Meghri, and [[Armavir Marz|Armavir] and Ararat regions.

Number in the wild

The overall number is undetermined.

Reasons for decrease in number

Use of the territories for agricultural purposes. Catch of the snakes.

Preserved at Khosrov Nature Reserve.
