The natural habitat of this species in Armenia is rapidly decreasing due to the intensive use of the plant for medicinal purposes (for medicinal plants of Armenia click here), and the use of the territories for agricultural purposes.

Habitat in Armenia

Met in the south-easter part of Ararat Marz, around Areni, and in the floristic region of Dareleghis.

Habitat and ecology

Grows in dry loamy or rocky hill slopes.
