Pre-Christian carvings in Anapat Cave

Deep in Yenokavan Canyon, there is a small cave with a number of carvings. The most impressive of these is the wall of pre-Christian carvings. Near the entrance to the cave, the first carving, a massive face, has three additional faces - these multiple faces guard the cave, since one of them is always watching. In addition there are crosses and altars carved into the cave.
