Vahan Ter-Ghevondian is a diplomat.
Ter-Ghevondian has a PhD in history and speaks Russian, English, French , Spanish and Arabic.
In 1991-92 he worked as president's aide.
From 1993 Ter-Ghevondian started his diplomatic career as charge d'affaires of Armenia in [France]] until 1995. From 1995 to 1998 he worked as Armenian ambassador in Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay.
From 1998 to 2003 Ter-Ghevondian was the executive director of "Hayastan" Pan-Armenian Fund and foreign minister's assistant.
In January 2006 Ter-Ghevondian was appointed as Armenian ambassador to Beirut, Lebanon. The former ambassador Areg Hovhannisian was removed from this position and called back to Yerevan by RA President Robert Kocharian.
