Armavir Town

Armavir (Arm: Արմավիր), Armavir Marz

On reaching the Marz capital of Armavir (28733 p), the main road passes under a large red stone overpass. Turning right before the overpass, one enters the city, passing on the right the Armavir Cognac factory. Armavir also boasts a hotel, restaurants, and a private zoo/botanical garden. Armavir is named for an ancient capital of Armenia which was in this region, the ruins of Armavir were excavated in Soviet times and can be visited nearby.
